Dickinson downs Shanley

Eric Seiler and his Dickinson teammates wanted ace Stephen Laylock on the mound for Saturday night’s state championship game.
Problem was Laylock started Friday’s semifinal game against Fargo Shanley.
Thanks to Seiler and the rest of his Midget teammates they’ll get their wish.
Dickinson scored four runs in the first, two in the third and ended it early with seven in the fifth, allowing Laylock to be pulled early so they can throw their ace back out on the mound against Fargo South in the title tilt tonight.
“Kids always think they can coach. I made them a deal and said if you can produce and get us a lead, we’ll see,” Dobitz said. “They’re really focused right now at the plate. We’re having a lot of good, productive at bats. Hopefully, we can do it for one more game.”
