Dickinson wins Class A baseball

Stephen Laylock threw a no-hitter as Dickinson defeated Fargo South 1-0 in the championship game of the Class A baseball tournament.

Eric Seiler scored on Laylock’s sacrifice fly to center in the bottom of the first for the only run of the game.

Laylock, who pitched the first three innings of Friday’s semifinal win over Devils Lake, threw 81 pitches, allowing only two baserunners, one on a walk and one on a wild pitch on a called third strrike. He struck out six and was perfect through four innings. He fraced one over the minimum 21 batter in the complete-game effort.
