Kraft done with two rounds at Junior PGA

Jamestown High School’s Laura Kraft shot a six-over par 78 in the second round of the 34th Junior PGA Championship at TPC River’s Bend in Mainesville, Ohio, on Wednesday.

Kraft, who will be a junior this fall, shot a 76 in the opening round for a two-round total of 154, or 10-over par.

The 72-hole tournament features a 54-hole cut to the low 30 girls and 30 boys, including ties, following the third round of play on Thursday. The top 30 will then advance to the final round on Friday.

Kraft, the defending Class A state champion, is currently tied for 30th as second-round play continues.

Amy Anderson of Oxbow is currently tied for 14th nine holes through her second round. She shot an even par 72 on Tuesday. Anderson is coming off an impressive victory at the U.S. Junior Amateur last weekend in Bedminster, N.J.
