DAC preseason football poll

Jamestown College is ranked fourth in a tight race atop the Dakota Athletic Conference preseason football poll, which was released today.

Dickinson State, ranked 15th in the NAIA preseason poll, got four of the eight first-place votes and finished with 42 points, edging Minot State by one point in the coaches’ balloting. The Beavers got two first-place nods and 41 points.

Black Hills State also got two first-place votes and finished with 38 points.

Jamestown College, ranked 24th in the NAIA preseason poll, finished with 34 points.

South Dakota Mines (28 points), Valley City State (19), Mayville State (13) and Dakota State (9) rounded out the poll.
