Former LaMoure star transfers from NDSU to S.D. Mines

Former LaMoure High School standout Caleb Shockman is transferring from North Dakota State to South Dakota Mines.
Shockman, a 6-foot-6 forward, was a three-year starter for the Loboes, averaging 18.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game as a senior. He was an all-state second-team selection and helped LaMoure to a 25-2 record and a third-place finish in the state Class B tournament his senior season.
He sat out the 2008-09 season as a redshirt freshman for the Bison.
Shockman will be eligible to join the Hardrockers in January.
“We are thrilled to have Caleb join our program,” said Hardrockers coach Jason Henry. “He was a top North Dakota prospect coming out of high school. We had the opportunity to recruit him right out of high school, so we know a lot about Caleb and the things he can do.
“Because of his skills and ability, he will be able to play a number of positions in our system, both offensively and defensively."
