Minot State rallies past JC at DAC Bowl

Jamestown College fell short in its attempt at finishing the season on a six-game winning streak.

The Jimmies scored touchdowns on three of four first-half possessions, but Minot State owned the second half in a 38-21 victory in the inaugural DAC Bowl on Sunday at the Fargodome.

Johnny Lester caught two fourth-quarter touchdown passes from Jon Meier as the No. 21-ranked Beavers (8-2, 7-1 DAC) made their case for the pollsters in their regular-season finale, still hoping for a shot at the NAIA playoffs.

Minot State reeled off 31 straight points after falling behind 21-7 in the second quarter.

Michael Beehler threw for 295 yards and three TDs for the Jimmies, who finished the season at 5-5, 5-3 in the DAC.
