Jays, Midgets tie again

New year, same result for Jamestown and Dickinson.
After tying twice in three games last season, the Blue Jays and Midgets did it again Friday night at Wilson Arena.
Both teams scored twice in the third period, capped by Riley Schafer’s game-tying goal on a two-man advantage with less than three minutes to play in a 4-all tie in the region opener for the Jays and season-opener for Dickinson.
“I guess the bottom line is we didn’t play well enough to win, but played well enough not to lose,” JHS coach Matt Stockert said. “We didn’t come out very well at all to start the game, but the thing I liked was we didn’t quit. They scored, and then we scored. They scored and then we scored again.”
