Jimmie women stay at No. 6 in NAIA poll

Off to an 8-2 start, the Jamestown College women’s basketball team remains at No. 6 in the NAIA Division II rankings.
The Jimmies were ranked 6th in the preseason poll. The first regular-season rankings were released on Monday, and four Dakota Athletic Conference teams are in the Top 25.
Along with the Jimmies, Black Hills State, Minot State and Dickinson State are ranked. The Yellow Jackets (7-2) moved up one spot to No. 9, the Beavers (7-1) jumped into the rankings at No. 13 after being unranked in the preseason and the Blue Hawks (5-4) fell 15 spots to No. 25.
Valley City State (4-4) received votes.
In the men’s poll, two DAC teams are represented in the Top 25.
Minot State, which was unranked in the poll, jumped into the No. 13 spot with its 7-2 record. Black Hills State (7-3) fell 13 spots to No. 15.
Jamestown College (5-3) received a vote in the poll.
The Jimmies take on Trinity Bible College tonight in a non-conference doubleheader at the Civic Center. They open DAC play this weekend on the road, visiting Dickinson State on Friday and Minot State on Saturday.
