Friday night cluster

Due to the ridiculously idiotic in-town scheduling tonight, this will be our one and only blog posting of the night because we have yet to proof our pages and it’s pushing midnight CST.

There were six high school basketball games and two high school hockey games in town and JHS wrestling on the road.

We will have stuff in on every event held on Friday in Saturday’s edition of The Sun. Here is the very abridged version if you’re scanning our blog at nearly 12 a.m. on a Friday night. If you are doing that, I offer my sincere apologies.

The Blue Jays went 0-4 in boys’ and girls’ basketball and boys’ and girls’ hockey. The basketball was here against Mandan and hockey vs. Minot (G) and Hazen-Beulah (B) — or as the AP guy out of Oregon said — Hazenberg-Beulah.

The JHS wrestling team lost both of their duals in Grand Forks. Jaden Horstad, Brent Mittleider, Landon Swangler and Shane Gallagher each went 2-0.

At the Stutsman County Tournament, where points are scarce, it is the Imps vs. Cards, or Napoleon and Ellendale, in the title tilt.

That’s the story and we’re sticking to it.

Stay moderately classy Jamestown and good night.
