Finally a slow night at The Sun

With just The Sav and I in the house until Jan. 4, it’s been a busy run for the last two weeks or so.

It’s slowed down tonight and through Christmas weekend, which is decidedly a good thing.

Tuesday night’s highlight was the Jamestown High School boys’ basketball team.

Darin Peterson’s squad improved to 4-1, including 3-0 on the road, with a 95-90 win over Devils Lake.

The Blue Jays have a really good chance at being 5-1 heading into a big game against Dickinson here on Jan. 8. They play at 0-3 Grand Forks Red River on Dec. 29. They’re averaging 83 points per game over their last four and have scored 90 or more twice. There’s some work that needs to be done defensively, but outscoring your opponents works, too, and truthfully is a lot more fun than winning ugly.

That’s all I’ve got for now.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
