Weekend sports in town

If you’re willing to brave the cold, or are bored enough, the Jimmie Open wrestling tournament begins Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the Jamestown High School gym.

Coach Cisco Cole’s team has four ranked NAIA teams coming to town, highlighted by No. 3 Great Falls (Mont). Concorida and Northern State will also send teams and NDSU and MSU-Moorhead will also send wrestlers.

The JHS boys’ hockey team plays Saturday night after a 10-day layoff. They host Devils Lake at 7:30 p.m. I hope they turn the heaters on at Wilson Arena. It was even colder than usual for the limited time I spent in the icebox for the Blue Jay girls’ game on Tuesday.

Properties are due tonight to Ohio State and Penn State. My Gophers hit yet another new low in losing to Ames State/Iowa State Thursday.

Maturi-head: Please can Brewster and hire Mike Leach. This makes so much sense it has absolutely 0 percent change of happening. Afterall, it is the "U."
