A late update on in-town teams Thursday:
-The JHS girls’ hockey team defeated Devils Lake 4-1 for their second straight win. If the Blue Jays beat Williston Friday, they’ll all but clinch a spot in the state tournament next month.
-The JHS swimming team dropped a dual to Mandan 100-85. Landon Ostlie, Willy Marler and Chasen Miller each won two events.
-The JC indoor track and field teams went to Aberdeen to dual Northern State. The women won 78-70, while the men fell 80-60.
AnnaLiesa Fauth was a triple winner, while Sarah Skipper and Katie Conlon won two each.
Josh Ewalt had three seconds for the men, who had three individual winners, highlighted by Andrew Stoen qualifying for nationals in the pole vault.
There’s a bunch more on all of the above in Friday’s print edition. Please check it out.
