Carrington’s Kurtz signs with JC BB

Carrington standout Kali Kurtz has signed a Dakota Athletic Conference letter of intent to attend Jamestown College and play basketball for the Jimmies.
Kurtz, a four-year starter for the Cardinals, is a three-time all-District 7 performer. She has amassed 826 career points, 296 rebounds, 265 assists and 206 steals. The 5-7 guard also has made 132 three-pointers and made 72 percent of her free throws.
Kurtz and the Cardinals are currently 14-1 and ranked No. 2 in Class B.
“Kali is a tremendous athlete and has had a lot of success in basketball, volleyball and track,” JC coach Mark Wiest said. “I have watched Kali for the past four years and have been impressed wit her attitude, work ethic and desire to compete at the collegiate level.”
“We’re fortunate that she has decided to continue her education at Jamestown College.”
The daughter of Brent and Shelly Kurtz, she plans to major in nursing at Jamestown College.
