ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — New Hampshire forward Bobby Butler, Wisconsin forward Blake Geoffrion and Maine forward Gustav Nyquist are the finalists for this year’s Hobey Baker Memorial Award.
The list was announced Wednesday. The winner will be revealed on April 9 in Detroit, during the NCAA Frozen Four.
Geoffrion is a senior who has led the Badgers to the national semifinals, with 27 goals and 21 assists in 38 games. His 14 power-play goals are tied for most in the nation. Geoffrion was drafted by the Nashville Predators.
Butler is a senior who had 29 goals in 39 games for the Wildcats and recently signed with the Ottawa Senators.
Nyquist is a sophomore who had 19 goals and 42 assists in 39 games for the Black Bears. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings.
