Friday cluster

-The heat is back in Jamestown and so will be another Savaloja Jamestown Speedway racing feature. The lad is money in that area.

-Also this weekend in the hut of Jamestown, a 6-team amateur baseball tournament opens tonight. Five more games Saturday and three Sunday – all at JBS.

-The Legion Post 14ettes play on Sunday night here against Williston at 5:30 p.m. If I made a list of things I’d like to do on a Sunday, watching Jamestown Legion baseball would be at or near the very bottom of that list.

-The Wolves absorbed Michael Beasley last night. Why? Would be the best question. Plus, they swapped 1st-round future picks with Miami in the Heat’s favor. As in, Miami will get the better end of the swap. Why? The Wolves were taking on a player the Heat flat out did not want, and somehow the Wolves end up hosing themselves.

"Well, I guess you’ll just have to go on beating yourself."

-Cliff Lee appears headed to the Yankees. He was going there this winter anyway, and once again the Twins were unwilling to give up the necessary package to make it happen. I’ve already written the perfect blog post as to why this is the ultimate no-lose deal for the Twins. But per usual, it will not be happening.
