Jimmies win wild opener in 3 OTs.

It took three overtimes, but the Jimmies won their season-opener on Saturday at Rollie Greeno Field.
Dustin Erbes broke up a potential game-tying 2-point conversion in the third overtime to seal Jamestown College’s wild 56-54 overtime victory.
The day belonged to the offenses.
Jimmie QB Michael Beehler threw for 334 yards and five touchdowns, including one in each overtime.
The Jimmies piled up 577 yards of offense.
Peru State went up and down the field as well, led by quarterback Curt Thompson’s 350-yard, 5-TD outing.
The Jimmies, who lost their first four games last season, hit the road Sept. 11 for a game against Wisconsin-Stout, which lost to Black Hills State 14-13 on Friday night in overtime.
